Gerald Appel, who has been involved with photography for more than forty years, is the author
of "Portraits of Nature" (1992), co-author of "American Photographers at the Turn of the Century - Travel and Trekking Edition" (1994), principal author of "The Art of the Human Form" (1996), and the author of "Far Away
Faces - A Guide to Better Travel Portraits" (1998). His work has, in addition, been featured in numerous galleries, periodicals, travels and other brochures and in solo and group photographic exhibits within and outside
the United States.
Mr. Appel has received many awards in photographic competiitons including several medals in recent Austrian Super Circuit exhibits, the largest international photography competition in
the world. He is represented in several catalogues and photographic yearbooks published by the competition. .
In recent years, Mr. Appel has become increasingly involved in digitial imaging, which will become
apparent as viewers examine the images that appear on this website.
